India performed brilliantly in T20 Internationals in 2025 and had one of the most successful years in the shortest format. The Men in Blue, led by Suryakumar Yadav, played 21 T20Is and recorded 15 wins and three losses – including one tie and two matches. The dominance was absolutely brilliant as the team won the home series against England 4–1.

Here are five T20I matches of 2025 that stand out for their intensity, individual performances, importance and overall impact.

Asia Cup Final: India vs Pakistan

India played the final against Pakistan as Tilak Verma led India’s chase and scored 69 runs, winning the Player of the Match award. The Men in Blue remained undefeated throughout the tournament and won the Asia Cup with six wins with one tied game.

India vs South Africa, 5th T20I

India ended the year on a high note, setting a target of 231/5, with Tilak Verma scoring 73 runs, followed by Hardik Pandya scoring 63 runs. Varun Chakravarthy’s 4/53 ensured that South Africa were restricted to 201/8, winning the series 3–1.

India vs England, 5th T20I

Abhishek Sharma performed brilliantly and scored 135 runs which is the highest individual score by an Indian in T20Is. After this, India won the series with a 4-1 win.

Hardik Pandya gave a complete all-round performance and scored unbeaten 59 runs on 28 balls and achieved important successes with the ball. India set a target of 175/6 and bowled out South Africa for just 74 runs.

India vs England, 3rd T20I

Varun Chakravarthy tore apart England’s batting lineup with his maiden T20I five-wicket haul (5/24), underscoring India’s spin strength and further cementing their control of the series.
