India’s 14-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi will miss the remaining Vijay Hazare Trophy matches after scoring a record-breaking century against Arunachal Pradesh. He went on to score 190 runs and achieved many achievements on the opening day of the tournament.
The update about Vaibhav not taking part in the rest of the tournament has now been confirmed by his childhood coach Manish Ojha, who mentioned that the young left-handed batsman has left for New Delhi and will not play in Bihar’s upcoming match against Manipur.
Ojha confirmed to Hindustan Times, “Vaibhav will not play today’s match as he is in Delhi to attend the Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award ceremony. He will be honored at the ceremony. He was to report at 7 am for the ceremony.”

Suryavanshi has traveled to Delhi to attend the Prime Minister’s National Children’s Awards ceremony, where she will be honored for her outstanding sporting achievements. This prestigious program is going to be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan, in which the President is going to honor the recipients of Draupadi Murmu Award. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also expected to interact with children during the ceremony.

Prime Minister’s National Children’s Award (PMBRP) is the highest civilian award for youth aged 5 to 18 years. It is given to those who have excelled in categories such as sports, bravery, innovation, science, social service and art and culture.
After the ceremony, the young batsman is likely to join the rest of the India Under-19 squad before the team leaves for Zimbabwe where preparations are underway for the upcoming Under-19 World Cup, starting on January 15.
