Former WWE star shares shocking backstage story about Batista
During a recent episode of his Café de René podcast, René Dupree mentioned that The Animal’s breath was disgusting, making a person feel sick to their stomach. The past tag team champions said that the only time they met was when The Animal was training in Ohio Valley Wrestling (OVW). Even though the meeting was informal, what Dupree remembers most about that incident was the 56-year-old former world heavyweight champion’s breathing, which Dupree humorously said almost killed him. He said:
“When I first met Batista, well, it was the only time I met him. It was in Memphis when they were doing drug testing. They brought people from other parts so we could all get drug tested together. I shook his hand and met him, but I almost passed out from his breath. His breath was the worst. I mean, it almost killed me.”
