From the moment Triple H took the reins of WWE creative, the company’s champions have enjoyed long and rich title reigns. Under Triple H’s artistic vision, Gunther became the longest reigning Intercontinental Champion.
It was not only the ring general, Sami Zayn, who retained the title for almost four months after defeating him, but also the current champion, Dominic Mysterio, who had a reign of over 200 days before vacating it to John Cena for a short period of time, and so on.

Carmelo Hayes has been a staple on the SmackDown roster for several weeks now and has always put on an amazing performance whenever he is on screen. A few weeks ago, he came very close to becoming champion but then Tommaso Ciampa interfered and snatched this opportunity from him.
Carmelo Hayes delivers when it matters most
It was the last week of episodes when Ilja Dragunov, after taking care of DIY, gave Hayes another chance for the title, as she was not satisfied with the result of her previous match, and this time Hayes got to do what he had failed to do the last time he challenged the Mad Dragon.
There was a very entertaining match between the two, in which there was a tough fight between the two wrestlers. In the end, Melo surprised Dragunov with the First 48 and then performed Nothing But Net for the pin, winning his first title on the main roster.
