A horror situation occurred for Mumbai batsman Angkrish Raghuvanshi during the Vijay Hazare ODI Trophy match against Uttarakhand on Friday, December 26, when he suffered a serious head injury while fielding for his team.
Raghuvanshi, 21, was immediately taken to a hospital in Jaipur due to the injuries he sustained in the accident at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium.
Raghuvanshi, who is playing for the Kolkata Knight Riders franchise in the IPL tournament, suffered the injury while attempting a catch with one hand during the 30th over when the Uttarakhand team was batting. Off-spinner Tanush Kotian was bowling when Saurabh Rawat decided to slog-sweep. Raghuvanshi was posted at deep midwicket.
what went wrong?
He showed immense dedication in this endeavor too, but this act also proved costly for him. Raghuvanshi was unable to maintain his grip and lost his balance in the process. His fall was heavy, causing injury to his shoulder and hitting his head hard on the floor. As a result he was stunned and remained on his side for a few moments before collapsing on his body.

Mumbai’s physios immediately swung into action. After realizing that Raghuvanshi had no chance of getting back on his feet, a stretcher was sent and he was taken in an ambulance to the nearby hospital, which is SDMH Hospital, where he is currently being monitored.
Despite initial fear, Mumbai scored big
Raghuvanshi was in very good form, playing a quickfire inning of 11 runs in 20 balls, which ultimately helped Mumbai post a strong score of 331 runs for 7 wickets. Mumbai’s innings took off thanks to half-centuries from Musheer Khan and Sarfaraz Khan, both of whom scored 55 runs. However, wicketkeeper batsman Hardik Tamore scored unbeaten 93 runs in 82 balls and took Mumbai to an intimidating score of 230 runs for 6 wickets.
Captain Shardul Thakur made a good contribution of 29 runs and then Shams Mulani also contributed 48 runs. The most successful bowler for Uttarakhand was Devendra Bora, who took three wickets for 74 runs.
Rohit’s contrast: from century to duck
It has been a mixed situation for Rohit Sharma. After an unbeaten inning of 155 runs in Mumbai’s first match against Sikkim, Rohit hit a golden duck in the third match against Uttarakhand. Despite this, it has become clear that Mumbai has a strong team.
Mumbai had started their season with a bang, defeating Sikkim by eight wickets during the week. In front of a crowd of around 20,000 on Christmas Eve, Rohit’s innings included 18 fours and nine sixes, helping Mumbai post 237 runs in just 30.3 overs.
But for now, the spotlight will be on Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s return to fitness, of course, as Mumbai and Indian cricket are eagerly waiting for some good news.
