WrestleMania fans of the Ruthless Aggression Era will never forget Robert Fatiu Fatu’s alter ego, Umaga: a dangerous Samoan bulldozer with deep WWE heritage despite his short life in the wrestling world. Also known as Eddie Fatu in real life, Umaga took the Raw landscape by storm with his incredible victories and subsequent feuds with superstars such as John Cena, Triple H and Jeff Hardy before his untimely death from a double heart attack in 2009.

However, more than a decade later, this legacy lives on through his son Zila Fatu. Currently establishing a reputation as a prospect on the indie scene, Zilla comes from the famous Anoa’i family, one of the greatest dynasties in the history of the wrestling world. The greatest names in this family will include current WWE Superstar Roman Reigns as well as brother Solo Sequoia and The Usos, known as ‘The Bloodline’ on WWE TV.

heartfelt holiday tribute

During the holidays this year, Zilla posted a private message about her father on the social networking platform X (X-Twitter).

“I really, really, really wish my dad were here…”

Fans loved the simple yet touching post. Many people responded with messages of encouragement as they shared their stories with the wrestler. It’s a reminder that when it comes to the world of professional wrestling, despite it appearing tough on the outside, emotions and real-life human experiences are always a part of it.

WWE’s future prospects

Zilla Fatu is one of those guys who has quietly been the talk of the WWE world, and rumors of her future signing are growing louder by the day. Due to his family ties alone, he could easily play a role in The Bloodline storyline, adding an element of reality to one of the greatest WWE storylines of all time.

For now, Zilla is still working the indie scene, carrying the weight and honor of his father’s legacy on his shoulders. However, such incidents prove that the influence of Umaga has not ended but is still growing.
